Oil Tanks

There are basically two options when it comes to choosing an oil storage tank: underground or aboveground. Griffith installs both types of tanks, along with products to give you added peace of mind and make your tank more aesthetically pleasing.

Underground Tanks

Several new types of tanks have been introduced to extend tank life and protect tanks from corrosion. These tanks meet and surpass stringent industry and EPA standards. While current state regulations do not require corrosion resistant underground tanks for heating oil, we recommend them for their extended life and added resale value.

Aboveground Tanks

There are a large number of above ground tanks designed for indoor or outdoor use. Some indoor tanks look more like water heaters than oil tanks. They now take up very little space in the basement, crawl space, or utility room and are much less conspicuous than traditional models. The decision to put the tank inside or outside is simply up to the preference of the homeowner.

The Roth Tank

Designed in Europe, the Roth Tank has a unique double wall construction with a heavy walled seamless polyethylene corrosion proof inner tank. The outer wall of the tank is G-20 galvanized steel designed to shield the inner tank and also to contain the contents of the inner tank in the unlikely event of a product leak.
